Censorship and Freedom of Expression

The ITA is pleased to announce that the “Statement on Freedom of Expression,” a joint statement from the Coalition for Theatre Education (CFTE) is now available:

The CFTE includes the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE), the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE), and the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).  Formed two years ago to address issues of mutual interest and concern in the field, CFTE represents more than 7,000 theatre educators in American elementary, middle, and high schools, colleges, and universities.

Please contact Henry Bial, Vice President for Advocacy (ATHE) if you have any questions about the statement or would like additional information.
